A proper vintage classic, the Ashdown CTM-15 bass amp head weighs under 6 kilos, delivers 15 Watts of power and comes wrapped in satisfying retro looks. The preamp of this little monster houses one ECC83 valve while the power amp houses two EL84 valves that combine forces to lay down plenty of warmth and power, which can be moulded to shape via the detailed three-band equaliser section. Hook this amp head up to a 4 Ohm or 8 Ohm speaker cabinet to build a modest yet potent stack or plug in a set of headphones and still enjoy rich and flavourful valve-coated sound without bothering the neighbours. Equipped for both gigging and recording, this model also features an XLR line-level DI output that can be linked directly with a mixer or interface.
